Offsite Safety Management course for NCS providers

Congratulations to the successful candidates who completed their recent NCS Offsite Safety Management course. Risk assessment training can be fun and the sun does shine in Dartmoor! The wonderful facilities provided by Adventure Okehampton / Okehampton YHA provided a fitting backdrop to what was a tiring but hugely valuable two days for the candidates.

Background

The course is based upon the programme administered by the Royal Geographical Society with IBG and is tailored by Pharos to fit the specific health and safety requirements of the National Citizen Service.  The extended two day residential course covers a significant amount of practical risk management exercises – both indoors and outside – relevant to UK-based youth activity programmes and social action projects.  It is delivered by RGS accredited trainers and others with national H&S qualifications.
