Customer Operations & Marketing Administrator – part time 25 hrs per week / office-based
Wokingham – ADVERT CLOSED
About you
Are you super-organised with a fastidious attention to detail? Happy to chat with our lovely clients on the phone or email without typos and text-speak? The sort of person who digs that little bit deeper to get the job done when needed? If you are, please read on…
If you have a minimum of two years’ successful administration/customer service or marketing support experience and are confident with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and basic database applications, then we’d love to hear from you. Oh, and if you have worked in a school, the insurance, or travel industry then you’re bound to bowl us over! We are open to who this might work for: perhaps you are returning to work after a career break or maybe you are job sharing elsewhere. Either way, this will be part-time to begin with but there will be opportunities to grow, either in responsibility or becoming full-time in the future.
About us
We’re a growing team making a big impact on a rapidly increasing number of clients and helping them to prevent, prepare for and respond to major incidents and issues in the UK and overseas. Our clients include independent, international and state schools, Multi Academy Trusts as well as well-known brands and one-man bands across the youth, adventure and travel sectors.
About the role
We’re seeking an exceptional individual to fulfil this important role that will support our mission to maintain outstanding customer service to our clients as we grow. There is a level of flexibility to shape the role and match the skills of the right candidate. You’ll help us to onboard new clients, schedule, coordinate and help prepare for projects with our team of consultants and deal with day-to-day client enquiries that will help ensure our team of trainers and expert advisers are operating seamlessly. You’ll work alongside our existing team to support lead generation campaigns and process enquiries, maintain the website and social channels. But don’t worry, you won’t be expected to respond to or get involved with any incident management as we have a dedicated team of specialists who do that.
Our office in central Wokingham is home to our friendly full-time team but we also work closely with a network of highly experienced regional consultants. The role is part-time hours (reasonably flexible to suit the right candidate), ideally five-days per week and might suit someone who would like to build up to full-time hours in the future as our business grows further.
Remuneration
Up to £27,000 pro rata plus annual company bonus, pension contribution, wellbeing vouchers, cycle-to-work scheme and optional holiday buy-back scheme.
Due to the nature of our clients’ work with children and the access to confidential personal data, the successful candidate will need to maintain professional confidentiality and will be required to conduct a Disclosure and Barring Service (police screening) check.
Apply
To apply, please send your CV with a covering email outlining your suitability for the role to jobs@pharos-response.co.uk.
No agencies please.
*** NOW FILLED***. Health and Safety Advisor – Education. Full-time, Midlands and home-based
Are you an experienced H&S professional who has worked in, or on behalf of schools, colleges, charities or other similar facilities? Are you able to inspire confidence in non-H&S senior management with your professional approach, practical advice and support whilst also being happy to ‘roll your sleeves up’ if needed to assist colleagues?
We are looking for a combination of experience and people skills, so if you pride yourself in providing professional health and safety services whilst understanding how customer service complements your technical skills and knowledge, we’d be keen to talk to you!
You will hopefully have a minimum of three years’ successful health and safety management experience, ideally within education or other similar regulated sectors involving the safety of young people. You will have a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and may be working towards higher qualifications.
Although our office is based in Wokingham, this role will require the successful candidate to work remotely from home and our clients’ sites, primarily across the Midlands. Although this provides some flexibility, it also will require you to be proactive and at times, identify tasks without being directed to do so and to liaise directly with our highly regarded clients, both remotely and face to face. You will be able to fluently explain health and safety to customers without making it sound unnecessarily complicated, and be confident in correcting poor or non-compliant practice in a ‘human’ way. Attention to detail, competent use of day-to-day IT systems and good written and verbal communications will all be natural if you are the right person for the job.
We’re a small team making a big impact on an increasing number of clients, helping them to prevent, prepare for and respond to incidents in the UK and overseas. Our clients include leading independent schools, Multi Academy Trusts, the government’s National Citizen Service (NCS), well known brands (and one-man bands) across the youth, adventure, travel and charity sectors. More information can be found on our website.
So in summary, we’re looking for a ‘self-starting’ home-based team member to be the lead consultant in delivering our H&S service level agreements with schools and other clients as we expand this portfolio. The role will involve frequent travel primarily (but not exclusively) in and around sites in the East and West Midlands, and occasional meetings at our offices in Wokingham, from where you will receive the administrative and line management support you need to succeed in the role.
If you’re still ticking all the boxes, please scroll down and get in touch – this could be the one for you!
