Workshop: how schools can prepare for the unexpected
We are looking forward to speaking with delegates at the upcoming Independent Schools’ Bursars Association annual conference in Manchester on Thursday. We will be sharing some insights and top tips for how schools can ‘prepare for the unexpected’ to help ensure they are ready for anything.
This will dig into our experience of supporting schools through their darkest days over the past 10 years, helping to prevent complex issues, incidents and critical incidents from getting worse, prioritising the welfare of those involved and protecting the hard-won reputation of the school. Topics that we will cover include:
– Typical critical incident sources in schools
– Types of critical incidents
– What makes an incident ‘critical’
– The human approach
– Critical incident team structure
– Initial actions checklist
– Top tips
This is knowledge we all hope you’ll never need, but it’ll be invaluable if you do. If you’re coming to the ISBA conference and haven’t chosen your afternoon workshop for the 25th May yet, do pop along to Charter 4 at 1630. We look forward to seeing you there.
